I guess it takes the hair relaxer industry losing millions of dollars for the rest of the world to figure out that natural hair is here to stay. Naturals across the globe aren’t allowing the hair care industry to tell them what their kinky tresses need any longer. Instead, black hair care consumers are taking the lead and demanding products and services that compliment an “au natural”  life.

Hair care companies can do as much re-branding as they’d like to keep up with consumer demands, as they continue to producing natural hair products filled with alcohol, parabens and sulfates, but the facts remain in that naturals are refusing to be bamboozled any longer.

This all of a sudden “returning to my roots” is becoming a lifestyle for women, not just a hairstyle choice. It’s more than just a cute curl pattern being put on display, it’s women making a statement, boldly,  that they’re accepting who they are physically, mentally and emotionally.

Deanna, you get two cyber high fives for that statement! As my mother would say, “you ain’t never lied!”

Kelvin also got it right with this photo series! Each and every woman chosen is naturally beautiful and each story behind their tresses was positively inspiring.
