{Glo Tour} ATL’s Been Good To Me

| On 26, Jun 2013

Atlanta and I usually have a love/hate relationship, but this trip Atlanta has been overwhelmingly good to me. Y’all can officially start calling me “turn up queen” because I’ve been having the time of my life out here. No, I haven’t been waking up waisted in my car or dancing in the club till 2am, as I no longer consider these activities as “having a good time” any longer. This is how I get down these days:

{Glo Tour} ATL's Been Good To Me

1. The People’s Fest With My Blogger Boo’s >> I’ve connected with many bloggers of the past year and I love the relationships that I’ve created with my #BlmGirls. Bloggers get a bad rep at times, so it’s always good to have people around that do the same “blogger things” I like to do. Liiiiiike:

  • Carry a professional grade camera around, EVERYWHERE
  • Take pictures of every meal you eat
  • Checking into every restaurant, event or establishment
  • Constantly checking social media

Did I miss any??? Ohh yea the festival was AIGHT! I’m really not that into country music though…

2. The Best Cupcakes in Atlanta >> The Cami Cakes Creamery store is the picture of perfection. The cupcakes are too. I tried the red velvet cupcake and the cake was so moist. Don’t even get me started on that cream cheese icing. You have to try one!

3. “The Ratchet Lip” >> Don’t act like you don’t see this pose in your Instagram feed EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! @Chrissy_yo and I decided to poke a little fun while chilling at the Red Stripe Mid Summer Music and Food Festival at Candler Park! You MUST go next year…

4. Senegalese twists, cornrows and fish tail all wrapped into one do’ >> Never seen anything like it in my life. See what others’s thought of this cool hairstyle here!

5. An Eat Style Play Visit >> One of my favorite D.C. fashion and foodie bloggers came all the way down from the district to hang with us and I just loved having her here. She always comes correct (fashion~wise of course) every time I see her!

6. Table 33 for Brunch >> I love a good brunch and Table 33 totally fit the bill. I had the Crab Eggs Benedict, which by the way was the BEST THING ON THE MENU! Ohhhh and I’m still reminiscing about those White Sangria’s

7. My first crack at Marley Twists >> I’ve been wanting Marley Twists for about a month now, so I decided that I was going to take a crack at it and they came out great, at least to me!

8. Speaking It Into Existence >> I’ve been telling myself I need a blazer for a while now, so when I found one at the Smryna Goodwill for $5 I was on cloud nine.

9. Sahara Hookah Bar >> I really don’t do hookah smoking but I made a special stop there to visit my girl Kiwi of Kiwi The Beauty! She always knows where to hang  in ATL.

10. Grit Pies & Black Bean Burger >>My mom is a connoisseur of good eating and she introduced Grit Pie’s  to me during our luncheon at Marlow’s Tavern. They were BOMB-TASTIC! I have NEVER had a black bean burger as delicious as this one either…

11. Pastor Troy is Really Goofy Y’all >> Look at that goober smile! Paster Troy made a special appearance at The Spinning Pie and surprisingly he was totally down to earth.

12. “Drink Prissy” >> Just like Eat Style Play, I forced my way into Miss Foodie Fab’s life and we’ve been blogger cousin’s ever since. She even taught  me how to sip on my drank the correct way!

Next stop… South Carolina for my much awaited family reunion. I’m sure this should prove to be quite interesting…

Check out my stop in DC too!
