I love when I go places and a very nice person greets me with something like this…
After a long day’s work, this is the best greeting ever and any parent would probably agree!
My joy was all thanks to Sacramento Bloggers and the invitation they extended me to attend the “Taste The Next Chapter” event at the newly renovated Arden Fair Mall California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) this past Wednesday evening.
In coming, I knew I was going to learn a little more about the company and review some items off their menu, but I had no idea that I would be rubbing shoulders with the innovators of these creations, as CPK’s SVP of Culinary Innovations, Brian Sullivan, waited on our group, hand and foot. That’s true passion for what you do!
Sullivan and the CPK Team (shout out to Dana // head of marketing) went well out of their way to make each of us feel right at home. How many places can you go where the SVP, of any establishment, is cool enough to break bread with you and stomach your criticisms of their creations at the same time? Mmmm hmmm, no where…but CPK!
Let me tell you, CPK set the bar really high for me. They completely over-delivered in every way imaginable. Don’t believe me, I’m sure these photo’s will get your mind right:
I know you’re probably thinking CPK is primarily known for it’s “knock your sox off” gourmet pizza’s, but that’s not all they’ve mastered.
The Fire-Grilled Ribeye had me all giddy as the lady sat it down at our table. It was fantastical…
Then they just kept bringing out more and more deliciousness…
The Garlic Roasted Chicken was a masterpiece! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the vegetables darn near melted in my mouth.
Typically I have to stay away from the breads, but tonight I completely went OC and had a ball.
I don’t do eggs on anything, so I had to eat around the sunny soft yoke on this one (above). But that didn’t stop my husband, from demolishing it once I got home!
The Harvest Kale Salad sealed the deal for my return to CPK. It bursted with flavor and when any establishment spoils me with goat cheese, I’m pretty much sold…
When you head out to your local CPK, don’t forget to look for the Hearth-Roasted Halibut, Lobster Roll Flatbread and the Bianco Flatbread, which were all equally unique, with robust flavors sure to keep you satisfied.
By the time dessert rolled around, I was at my limit, but the TRILL in me didn’t allow me stop. A true foodie always stops at their limit, SAID NO ONE EVERRRRRRR! Besides, just reading the decadent options on the menu who could resist trying a S’more, a Salted Caramel Pudding and some Butter Cake.
All three desserts where good, BUT the Salted Caramel Pudding and the Butter Cake stole the show for me!
After the event I just about had to be rolled out of there in a gurney because of my severe “itis”, I walked out of CPK with a glutton-ish smile on my face and a bag filled to the brim with leftovers.
I am certain that I will be heading back to CPK in my NEAR, very near, future and so should YOU!
