5 Winter Goodies You Should Add To Your Wish List

1 // Tribal Head Wrap

I love me some Latonya Evette. Most people that do know me, know that it’s completely normal for me to wear a head wrap or turban at least three days a week. I have ONLY laziness to blame for this. So, when I Latoya’s feature on A Beautiful Mess, you know I just about lost my mind!

To get Latonya’s look just find an awesome pattern, like what you see here (which should technically be the item on your wish list), then save Latonya’s head wrap tutorial link to your bookmarks. Then, BAM! You just saved yourself 30 minutes fumbling with your hair in the mirror, on the morning of that bad hair day. You’ll have a beautiful head wrap to keep your world from crashing that day.

2 // Marbled Clay Ring Dish

It’s cold outside, so for most of you reading I know you’d rather be in the house. Usually, when I’m stuck in the house, my OCD starts going into overdrive and I start organizing everything.

Infuse your inner OCD with a little creativity with these super easy DIY Marbled Clay Ring Dishes to keep all your fab jewelry in. It’s super cheap and super cute. Plus, they make great gifts for the holidays.

3 // Chunky Infinity Scarf

I have a ton of scarves, as I use most of them for my turbans and keeping warm. I, however, almost never buy infinity scarves! Correct me if you think I’m wrong, but most of them look cheap to me. It can be cheap (in the cost department) but they can’t look cheap. Nah, that’s a no-no.

This infinity scarf feels much different to me. It’s handmade, which obviously will go a long way. I’d rather pay a few more dollars then go to Target and buy a cheap-looking infinity scarf for $15.

4 // Really, Really Purple Lipstick For Dark Skin

You can usually picture purple makeup on your eyelids, but on your lips it’s a bit more unlikely. Winter is the perfect time to get a little BOLD!

Think about it, you’re probably bundling up in the darkest colors your closet has to offer, so why not give passerby’s a little shock value with with some morado-ish colored lips. I say go for it!

5 // Two Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation

We all love chocolate in our mouthes and belly, so why not try some on our faces?!?!?! Good, so we’re on the same page!

Cocoa, known to offer a host of anti-aging benefits alongside other highly beneficial antioxidants, is known to work wonders for the skin. Two Faced creators say their Cocoa Powder Foundation:

“… glides on seamlessly, blending into skin for a weightless, plush-matte, rose petal finish. Infused with our Exclusive Cocoa Complex, this antioxidant-rich, oil-absorbing, non-drying powder defends against free radicals, while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores. More than a powder foundation, it hides imperfections while improving the appearance and feel of skin for total complexion perfection. Its decadent chocolate scent smells as good as it feels.”

Although my wish list remains open all year long (by design), here’s a few items I thought I’d share to add to your winter wish list for the holidays.

See anything you’d wish to try? What would you bump and what would you dump?
